This is the TESTAMENT THAT GOD IS…..
AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING JUJU CAN….
Sounds familiar?
If it doesn't, figure it out
Lol
If you consistently read my letters you'd observe that one word I like to use a lot is “reflecting” because somehow I always find myself doing that at major intervals through my days, weeks and most times, hours.
So! Today is another reflection series and you'll soon discover why I call this one TESTAMENTS
To begin, what is a Testament? The definition or assumption the majority might have in mind is limited to the “Old Testament / New Testament” thingy but far beyond that, the word Testament has its own meaning
There you go!
But today we are working with definition 2
A testament is evidence, something that serves as a sign. E.g. Your results in school at the end of every term or semester are testaments to your performance, right? So, in the same vein, a testament is a proof.
Today, I was looking back at how far God has brought me and I kept saying to myself, I'm not at the same place I used to be. I'm not even the same person I am
See, this time last year, there were certain things in my life that I could only speak on and couldn't relate to myself because I didn't have results so the best I could do was speak, motivate and encourage but to talk about how it had worked for me? No. I couldn't do that because I didn't have results
But see I promise you if you can follow God diligently you’ll be so transformed you may almost forget the kind of person you used to be
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
See, this scripture above may sound so cheap, you've probably heard it over and over and over again. You've heard it so much you can mime it from your sleep but you need to understand the power at work in that verse
If ANY MAN is in CHRIST
The OLD is GONE
The NEW has come to STAY
With Jesus, you are a new person every day! You are not the same person you were last week or yesterday because daily you are getting transformed. God deserves your full attention, He wants nothing less than your devotion
With God, you die daily! Daily!
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 NKJV
If you consecrate yourself to God, it's only a matter of time before you begin to look and see like Him
But then, check your life for the testaments, look back and carefully examine how far he has brought you!
And finally, I'm sharing my note from Upperroom, again!
Read and be blessed. Although I’d advise that you go and listen to the sermon again on YouTube
Upper Room Lagos, 2025 (I Used AI to type this out)
To touch God, you must learn to wait. Obedience stems from love.
There's a difference between animal life and dominion life. Animal life is focused on basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing. Dominion life, on the other hand, is supernatural.
When you find God, you'll discover your true self. Your pain can be a catalyst for purpose.
Logical thinking will never bring you closer to God. It can create more questions than answers. One thing about God is that He rarely explains Himself, instead, He reveals Himself.
When faced with challenges, we often ask God 'why.' However, God doesn't owe us explanations. Instead, we must surrender our need to understand everything.
Find purpose in your pain. Don't let affliction define your theology. Remember, happiness is fleeting and based on circumstances, but joy is an unspeakable spirit.
In the Kingdom, we don't focus on external success, we focus on growth. We don't 'blow’, we grow.
Music can evoke emotions and even give you goosebumps, but worship goes deeper – it touches your spirit. Intimacy with the Lord is essential, and it's a profound connection that can be likened to a deep, personal relationship.
Till next week dearly beloved
God bless you🫶🏽
