Heyooooo!!!
It's the third letter from my myriad. I was supposed to be back here on Monday, but the election results made me delay a little.
So, now that all has been said and done, what’s next?
The air right now can be frustrating, the tension, the despair... Truthfully, it's kind of contagious, but in the midst of all these, we must not forget the one who has always given up a reason to hope again despite our despair. Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. And yes call it unrealistic, but we must keep hoping for Him to perfect what He has started.
Well, I have seen so many encouraging reads[posts] about not losing one’s joy since the results of the election were announced. And I stand here to say, I love my country no matter what. Asides from the elections, the New Nigeria has begun, and the birthing of the New Nigeria is here. Just like a woman in travail.
For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfilment] it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.
Habakkuk 2:3 AMP
Though it carries, it will not lie, for, in the end, it will surely speak.
Beloved, there's still hope at the end of the tunnel, don't give up too soon, now is not the time to let your faith in God waiver.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, 2[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. 3 Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Hebrews 12:1-3 AMP
I want you to read the scripture above until you are sure you understand what it means. Read it in different Bible translations if that'll help.
In this season, I advise that you keep yourself and your spirit charged[through prayers, studying the word, constant worship, staying within a strong community of believers], take a break from the news, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you suppress every built-up anxiety. Trust me, you are not alone. We gather dey. Lol.
I love you and I'm rooting for you.
I'll be back in a week
Do not lose hope
Love, Fiyinfoluwa.
